Amy & Jeff live in Atlanta, but while they were in town for their engagement party, it was the perfect time for an engagement session! It was a particularly hot day in DC for spring, but the city never fails to disappoint in it’s beauty. And since their engagement party was later that evening, I got to meet some of the family. Jeff’s mom told me an interesting story about her ancestry, and it just so happens that she is a descendant of the Lincoln’s. As in Abraham Lincoln! How fitting that we started our session at the Lincoln Memorial. Amy looked stunning in her gorgeous blue dress. I loved the bold white flowers, and it really stood out beautifully against the marble. To beat a little of the heat, we took our shoot over to National Gallery of Art, and finished it off at one of my favorite gardens near the Smithsonian. It was a great day and a huge success, considering we had to deal with a lot of road closures and a protest.
Be on the look out for their Congressional Country Club wedding in September!
